Weekly Word of Encouragement

"Be you angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath (anger): Neither give place to the devil."

~ Ephesians 4:26-27

From time to time certain things will happen that will cause us to become angry. Many times in scripture we see that God became angry due to the sin and disobedience of the Children of Israel. Anger is a God given emotion that all people possess. We are to control our anger by not reacting to the cause of our anger in a negative way. Righteous anger is displayed in a positive way, by moving us, to attempt to reverse a situation from wrong to right. Situations and issues that spark anger should be dealt with as soon as possible. Promptly dealing with our anger will prevent it from escalating and also prevent a root of bitterness from springing up inside of us. Don't give place to the devil by allowing your anger to lead to sin.
